My Thoughts
This is a very cute book and I'm glad that I received it! If this was still a normal school year I would read this to my class. I sure wish I could because they would love it! I love getting children's book to review because I get to share them with the children in my class during storytime.
*Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

My Thoughts
I can't even begin to explain how much I loved this book! It is now a new favorite of mine!
I picked this book up after watching one of my favorite Booktubers videos. She was recommending books to read in an uncertain time. Basically, books that make you feel good inside. I got this book at the library because I didn't want to buy a copy when I wasn't sure if I would actually like it.
When I picked it up the first time and realized it was written in letters, I honestly didn't think I was going to like it at all. I kept on just in case and, boy am I glad I did! I fell in love! I immediately ordered a copy for myself! I NEEDED to own it!
I am so thankful that I picked this book up. It is now one of my very favorite books!
Summary
The Penderwick sisters busily discover the summertime magic of Arundel estate’s sprawling gardens, treasure-filled attic, tame rabbits, and the cook who makes the best gingerbread in Massachusetts. Best of all is Jeffrey Tifton, son of Arundel’s owner, the perfect companion for their adventures. Icy-hearted Mrs. Tifton is less pleased with the Penderwicks than Jeffrey, and warns the new friends to stay out of trouble. Is that any fun? For sure the summer will be unforgettable.
My Thoughts
I absolutely LOVED this book!!!!! It is such a classic and I am sure I will read this book over and over throughout my life.
I can't sing enough praises for The Penderwicks. It is definitely a new favorite book for me!
Summary
Some people live their entire lives without changing their perspective. For Allison Dennis, all it takes is 180 seconds…
After a life spent bouncing from one foster home to the next, Allison is determined to keep others at arm’s length. Adopted at sixteen, she knows better than to believe in the permanence of anything. But as she begins her third year in college, she finds it increasingly difficult to disappear into the white noise pouring from her earbuds.
One unsuspecting afternoon, Allison is roped into a social experiment just off campus. Suddenly, she finds herself in front of a crowd, forced to interact with a complete stranger for 180 seconds. Neither she, nor Esben Baylor, the dreamy social media star seated opposite her, is prepared for the outcome.
When time is called, the intensity of the experience overwhelms Allison and Esben in a way that unnerves and electrifies them both. With a push from her oldest friend, Allison embarks on a journey to find out if what she and Esben shared is the real thing—and if she can finally trust in herself, in others, and in love.
My Thoughts
This is not a new book but it is new to me! I went to a used book store while on vacation and found this gem. I am so extremely glad I did! I loved it!
While there were things here and there that I may not have found to be perfect, I loved so much of this book! This book was one that I didn't want to put down! I flew through it!
This book is one of the reasons that I love going to used book stores. I usually find such wonderful books that I wouldn't have found otherwise.

My Thoughts
I so wish I had this book a few years ago! Back when I taught second grade, I would read chapter books to my class every day. Nilay's Wish is definitely one that they would have enjoyed!
The adventure, time travel, magical elements... my class would have loved this book! I know that I certainly enjoyed it. I am going to keep it around in case I ever teach second grade again. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is middle grade or who enjoys reading middle grade books!

Summary
Franny Chapman just wants some peace. But that's hard to get when her best friend is feuding with her, her sister has disappeared, and her uncle is fighting an old war in his head. Her saintly younger brother is no help, and the cute boy across the street only complicates things. Worst of all, everyone is walking around just waiting for a bomb to fall.
It's 1962, and it seems that the whole country is living in fear. When President Kennedy goes on television to say that Russia is sending nuclear missiles to Cuba, it only gets worse. Franny doesn't know how to deal with what's going on in the world -- no more than she knows how to deal with what's going on with her family and friends. But somehow she's got to make it through.
Featuring a captivating story interspersed with footage from 1962, award-winning author Deborah Wiles has created a documentary novel that will put you right alongside Franny as she navigates a dangerous time in both her history and our history.
My Thoughts
My Daughter bought this book for me for Christmas. I had noticed it at the used book store a few visits before and considered buying it but just never did. She surprised me with it and I wanted to pick it up immediately! I already had books to read so I had to wait until February.
Now here we are, a few weeks after I finished it, and I can say that it was a really good book! I had somehow missed that it was middle grade but was pleasantly surprised when I realized.
I highly enjoyed the bits of real history and clips from newspapers and ads and things. It added so much to the book!
I really am so glad that I read this book! Such a great mix of real history and wonderful fiction. Great read!

My Thoughts
I can't believe it took me so long to read this book! I've had it on my bookshelf for forever. Well, thanks to my tbr jar, I finally picked it up. And, let me tell you, Again, but Better was full of surprises.
I honestly didn't know there was going to be a magical element. I'm not sure how I missed that little tidbit but I did. So, that was a complete surprise to me. I was pleasantly surprised, though!
I've read a few reviews that express their dislike for the 'excessive 2011 references' but I really didn't mind them. This is a YA book. I expect it to be a little "extra" at times.
Overall, I did enjoy this book. It was a cute, fun read. I'm glad I finally got to it!
